Why did you decide to speak on social media?
Because currently this is the biggest problem.
Do you face this problem too? Do you struggle with social media?
Sometimes; I get addicted to it.
What are the social platforms you are addicted to?
Facebook and WhatsApp
Can you tell us more?
This affects me during exam time. When I open Facebook, I keep scrolling down to read posts and I don’t even think about the time. I forget to eat, I forget to sleep, and I get addicted to it. I keep reading the posts. This is how I waste my time, and this happens to a lot of people.
Do you feel like taking a break from social media?
Yes, I wanted to…I tried…but I couldn’t. I tried uninstalling WhatsApp and deactivating my Facebook account several times.
What happens after that?
(smiles) I activate it again.
How do you feel when you reactivate it?
I am like, “I should not do it again”, “I should be away from that”. I keep telling myself this is not life. There’s more to life…That I should go explore the world, and again I will return to the apps after a few days.
What’s the longest you have stayed away from Facebook?
So you cannot live without Facebook beyond three weeks?
Now, I am controlling myself.
I engage in some other work.
What does love mean to you?
Love? Okay…I am not matured enough to talk about love. But what I think is love is not a feeling just between a boy and a girl. It can be anything. We love our friends, we love our parents, and we love our pets. We love a lot. If someone gets hurt, or someone we know dies, we feel very bad. It’s a special thing. It’s good to feel love.
